Application Specialist

For our IT department in Eindhoven we are looking for an Application Specialist.
- Reporting to: IT Director
- Salary: € 3.300 – 4.200
- Location: Het Schakelplein 14-16, 5651 GR Eindhoven, Netherlands
- Hours per week: 32-40 hours
- Requirements: HBO/Bachelor
Purpose of the position
In view of further growth of the IT department within IPP and PRS we’re looking for an Application Specialist. Your role is to support and continue to develop the integration platform Niklas together with the IT team, internal stakeholders in Sales and Operations and external stakeholders such as customers and suppliers. You work in a team of 5 in total, together with several external suppliers.
Our IT-business is based on (pallet movement) information within the main business application (IPP & PRS Pooling System) that is communicated by/to our partners, such as customers, transport firms, depots and retailers. Consequently the maintenance and continued development of integrations is a significant part of the job as well handling document output.
This role also includes identifying potential improvements and together with the IT team and key users in the organisation (based in the Netherlands, UK, France, Spain and Germany) propose a technical design for system enhancements and implementing new developments for applications or areas in which you may develop to a leading role.

- Is comfortable in providing user support and service to internal and external customers
- Preferably experience or knowledge of MySQL, Integrations protocols and data mapping
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting solutions to (international) users and IT Team
- Pro-active attitude in identifying issues and proposing solutions
- Ambitious to develop skills and competences
- Language skills at least native / very strong in Dutch and English. French and/or German is preferred as additional language.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely together with the platform partner to develop platform enhancements
- Testing of platform enhancements
- Create and maintain mappings
- Issue analysis
- Supporting customers in setting up integrations
- Create and maintain documentation
- Support the internal organization to understand and promote machine-to-machine integrations
Your qualifications
- HBO/Bachelor education level
- Preferably experience or knowledge of MySQL, Integrations protocols and data mapping
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting solutions to (international) users and IT Team
- Ambitious to develop skills and competences
- Language skills at least native / very strong in Dutch and English. French and/or German is preferred as additional language.
